1. What is a froth pump?
The AF froth pumps has been designed to increase the pumpability of frothy slurry. The pump operation is similar to hydrocyclone seperation.
The basic principle of the froth pump operation is to de-aerate or partially de-aerate the froth before it enters the pumping. Its handling capacity of the pump is muchhigher than that of other types of slurry pump without shaft seal and sealing water.
2. What advantage of AF slurry pump?
The advantages of the pump are of excellent performance, easy assebly & disassembly, high and etc.
The AF series froth pumps is a efficiency pump are suitable for handing solids-liquid mixture, special for delivering frothy pulp generated in flotation machines in metalliferous and coal flotation circuits.
The AF froth pump is ideal for all applications involving handling of air entrained slurries, such as flotation froth in base metal concentrators, phosphate and apatite washing plants and calcium carbonate upgrading plants.
The pump can also be used as a mixing and distribution unit, where dry powder has to be mixed (and wetted) with water. It can also be used with cement in ready mixed concrete and for grouting and injection mixing.
3. What structure of the AF froth pump
The construction of pump head is double casings slurry pump. All wet-parts can be supplied in Ni-hard, high chrome alloy iron and pressure-moulded natural or synthetic rubber.
The driver end can be exchanged with that of type--SP(R) pumps. The hopper-tank is fabricated with steel plate. Its inner wall of the tank can be covered with liner according to different medium pumped.
The discharge branch can be positioned at intervals of 45 degrees by request and oriented to any eight positions to suit installations and applications.

The NP-AH type slurry pumps are those of cantilever, horizontal and centrifugal ones, whose shafts can be sealed by packing seals or by centrifugal type seals. The positions of the pump outlet can be positioned at an interval of 45°according to different requirements, so eight different angles can be applied by rotation in installation.
The M. AH type slurry pumps have pump bodies (volute liners, front and back liners) that consist of replaceable wear-resistant metal liners or wear-resistant rubber liners, and impellers can also apply wear-resistant metal material or wear-resistant rubber material. The HH type slurry pumps only apply wear-resistant metal material as their pump bodies and impellers.

Installation Instructions
The AH type slurry pumps have pump bodies (volute liners, front and back liners) that consist of replaceable wear-resistant metal liners or wear-resistant rubber liners, and impellers can also apply wear-resistant metal material or wear-resistant rubber material.

AH Series slurry pumps are suitable for severe slurry conditions with coarse particles and high competency.
There are two types of material for wet parts (volute liners, front and back liners, impellers):
1. Made of high-chrome alloy material;
2. Made of highly wear-resistant rubber material researched and developed by Naipu company.
Both of them can fulfill the task of slurry pumping with high efficiency and long service life.
AH Series slurry pumps have two kinds of structural modes, which are the high-chrome alloy one and the rubber wear-resistance one. The wet parts made of either alloy or rubber can be mixed up in operation.
For example: a rubber volute liner and liners can be combined with an alloy impeller in operation, and a rubber impeller can be used together with alloy volute liner and liners.
